I’m a Southern Belle, living, cooking and trying to avoid Hill staffers in the epicenter of political influence. I was warned when I moved to DC that the people here aren’t friendly. Imagine my surprise when I found that to be utterly false. I have made some great friends in this city and can truly say I have found my home. Anyone who says they’re bored in DC needs to move to the ‘burbs.

I love food…I love DC…I write about both…enough said.

  1. I’m a DC Native, and I hate when people say we aren’t friendly. I’d like to think we are. 🙂

  2. I just wanted to say hello. I am a midwestern transplant to DC (lived here for six years now) and totally agree with you. People are actually very nice here– aside from the occasional angry commuter scolding tourists on Metro escalators!
I love all the creative recipes here, and look forward to reading more.

  4. Just had to chime in and say that I also live in DC and I DO NOT like that stereotype. There are so many nice people in DC!

Anyway, I love the site. Your photos are really looking good. That natural light is nice huh!

  5. I love your site, your content, your pictures… I seriously cannot get enough of your site.

I don’t see an RSS link, maybe you should add one?

    Cheers to your success,

    • @ Eric – Thank you very much for the compliments! I’m I don’t have an RSS feed but you can subscribe to my blog! The link is under “Keep Up With My Adventures”. I will work on adding an RSS feed though! Thanks for the tip!
